Deer Hunting Recap
Well I got back Sunday night from Deer camp and man it was awesome. Opening morning was horrible and nobody got anything, me and my dads friend were the only people to see a deer, and he saw 4 fawns and a wolf. Saturday night came and I saw 2 deer but still no clear shot, by the end of day 1 we only had 2 deer hanging. Sunday morning came and was worse than Saturday morning, nobody saw a dang thing and there was no shots heard in the area. I really wanted to get a deer before I came home so I sat in my dads stand Sunday night which is a super good night spot. Knowing this would be my last chance maybe this year to get a deer, I really had to take what I could get. I waited for awhile and at 4: 15 I heard some walking behind me, a few moments later I got a glance of a nice doe walking onto the field to my left, I waited a little bit for it to get further on the field and to my surprise 3 fawns followed. I finally got a nice shot on the doe and BOOOOOOOM!!!! DEAD DEER!!!!!!!! She dropped instantly and 2 fawns ran into the woods while the other ran further in the field and stopped. I got her in the scope and BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!! 2 DEAD DEER!!!!!!!!! I was happy as can be and waited 5 more minutes and the other 2 came back. I got another clear shot and BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! 3 DEAD DEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasnt 10 minutes later when the 4th came back bleating and stopping like crazy and smelling her sister when BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!! 4 DEAD DEER and then the shooting was over and I came home for the weekend. My dads buddy also shot a huge 12 point buck sunday night.

2008 Goose Hunting Season
Well, the 2008 goose hunting season has been pretty decent for me so far, could be better though. With a total of 54 geese as of November 3, it seems like a lot to some people but is well short of the expected 75 at this point. I have met some pretty good guys and have had some good hunts but also have been burned pretty bad a few times. Sunday morning was looking totally promising as the corn field was holding between 3 and 4 hundred honkers the day before. The hunt came and it went as planned at the beginning, the geese were roosting only about 150 yards away so we were a bit to close but were still hoping for a limit of 10 geese with 5 guys. The first flock came, circled a few times and were back on the roost without a shot. Shortly after 2 came in and we dropped both. Not much longer it was flock after flock and at one time there was about 6 flocks circling at 1 time, we should have been shooting as we had some flocks within 20 yards but we never had a flock in the kill hole and shortly later they were all back on the lake and that was all for entire day, what looked so promising wasnt so promising after all.
